Located in Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, China, Shanhaiguan is the eastern starting point of the Great Wall of Ming Dynasty, known as the "First Pass under Heaven". Built in 1381, this historic city is famous for its majestic pass and strategic location, connecting North China and Northeast China, and is known as "the throat of the border counties and the safeguard of the capital".
The Shanhaiguan Scenic Spot, including Guancheng, Old Dragon Head, Meng Jiangnu Temple and other attractions, combines the culture of the Great Wall, the ancient military defense system and coastal scenery. The huge plaque of "The First Pass in the World" on the Pass City was written by Xiao Xian, a calligrapher of the Ming Dynasty, and has become a landmark landscape. Laolongtou is the place where the Great Wall enters the sea, and its unique location shows the wisdom of ancient architecture.
As a World Heritage Site, Shanhaiguan attracts a large number of tourists every year and is an important destination for studying the history of the Great Wall of China and experiencing traditional culture. Its rich monuments and stories, such as the Legend of Meng Jiangnu, add to the humanistic charm and make it a must-visit tourist destination in northern China.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
