Shangzhou is located in the southeastern part of Shaanxi Province in China, and is the administrative center of Shangluo City, which is situated at the southern foot of the eastern part of the Qinling Mountains and the upper reaches of the Dan River. As a cultural city with a long history, Shangzhou is famous for the "Four Hao of Shangshan" who lived in seclusion, and has been a major transportation route connecting Guanzhong with the central and southern regions since ancient times. With an area of about 2,672 square kilometers and a population of about 550,000, Shangzhou enjoys a warm-temperate semi-humid climate with four distinct seasons.
Shangzhou boasts a wealth of natural and cultural landscapes, including attractions such as Xian'e Lake and Dayun Temple, and is rich in agricultural specialties such as walnuts and chestnuts. In recent years, it has focused on the development of eco-tourism and green industries, with the G40 Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway and the Ningxi Railway running through the whole territory, making transportation convenient. It is the hometown of Jia Pingwa and other cultural celebrities, and integrates the characteristics of Qin and Chu cultures, presenting a city style that emphasizes both modern development and historical inheritance.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
