Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Zhuozi County is located in the central part of China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, belonging to Ulanchab City, and is situated at the southern foot of the Yinshan Mountain Range, with geographic coordinates of 40°-41° north latitude and 112°-113° east longitude. The total area is about 3,119 square kilometers, with a population of about 200,000 people. The county is mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry, and has been vigorously developing tourism and green energy industries in recent years.
Zhuozhi County is famous for "Zhuozhi smoked chicken", which is an intangible cultural heritage of Inner Mongolia. The local grassland scenery is beautiful, with some scenic spots of Huitengxile Grassland, and the climate is cool in summer, which is suitable for summer vacation tourism. Folk culture is a blend of Mongolian and Han traditions, and special events such as the Naadam Conference are held every year.
The Jingbao Railway and Beijing-Tibet Expressway run through the whole territory, making the transportation convenient. The ecological environment is good, there are more than ten large and small rivers in the territory. In recent years, it has actively promoted ecological protection and green development, and has been recognized as one of the national ecological demonstration counties.
