Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Zhongzhan District is part of Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, China, and is located in the northwestern part of Henan Province, at the southern foot of the Taihang Mountains. With a total area of about 162 square kilometers and a population of about 120,000, the area is an important industrial and cultural component of Jiaozuo City. Zhongzhan District has a long history and is rich in natural resources and humanistic landscapes, such as the ecological resources of the Taihang Mountains and traditional villages. The economy is dominated by coal, chemical and manufacturing industries, while tourism and modern agriculture are actively developed. Conveniently located near downtown Jiaozuo and the major highway network, it is connected to a number of cities in and outside Henan Province.
Located at the junction of the North China Plain and the Taihang Mountains, Zhongzhan District has a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons. The area is known for its industrial heritage and natural beauty, such as the Dragon Cave Scenic Area, which attracts visitors to explore outdoor activities and history and culture. Local specialty industries include ceramics and agricultural product processing, contributing to regional economic development. Focusing on ecological protection and promoting sustainable urban renewal, Zhongzhan District is a typical example of industrial transformation in Henan Province.
