Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Located in the southwest of China, Chongqing Yubei District is one of the nine districts of the main city of Chongqing and the core development area on the north bank of the Yangtze River. As a core component of the state-level new district Liangjiang New District, Yubei is an important aviation hub, modern manufacturing base and financial center in Chongqing. The area covers 1,452 square kilometers, with a resident population of about 2.2 million.
Yubei District has Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, North Railway Station and other important transportation hubs, forming a three-dimensional transportation network. The district is home to large-scale manufacturing enterprises such as Changan Ford and Hyundai, as well as digital economy industrial parks such as the Xiantao International Big Data Valley.The GDP of the district will exceed 220 billion yuan in 2022, ranking among the top in Chongqing.
The area blends the characteristics of a mountain town with modern urban style, with large ecological spaces such as Central Park and Bijin Park. It also retains historical and cultural relics such as Longxing Ancient Town, forming a cityscape that blends the ancient and the modern. As a strategic pivot for Chongqing's development to the north, Yubei is building an international air-conditioned metropolitan area, continuously optimizing the business environment and attracting global investment.
