Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Xin County is located in the western part of Shandong Province, China, belonging to Liaocheng City, at the junction of Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces, with a total area of about 1,388 square kilometers. It is a large agricultural county, famous for its high-quality wheat, vegetables and livestock breeding, and is known as the "First Vegetable County of China".
Xin County has a long history and is the hometown of famous people such as Yi Yin and Zhang Haidi, and has cultural relics such as the Wild Goose Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. The local folk art is rich, and paper-cutting and face molding are listed as intangible cultural heritage. The Vegetable Expo held every year attracts businessmen from all over the country and shows the achievements of modernized agriculture.
Based on agriculture, Xin County is vigorously developing food processing and logistics industries. The transportation is convenient, with De Shang Expressway and Qinglan Expressway passing through the county, and Liaocheng Railway Station is about 1 hour away by car. In recent years, Xinxian has actively promoted rural tourism and created an ecological agricultural tourism area to promote rural revitalization.
