Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. Shatian Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, China, located in the southwestern part of Dongguan City, on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary, downstream of the south tributary of the Dongjiang River, and adjacent to the Nansha District of Guangzhou, which is Dongguan's southward gateway to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As the core component of Dongguan Port, Shatian has a national class 1 port - Dongguan Port Shatian Port Area, with container throughput ranking among the top in the country, and is an important logistics hub and port industry base in South China. Relying on the advantages of the port, it has formed an industrial system dominated by modern logistics, high-end equipment manufacturing, paper making and petrochemicals. Meanwhile, it is surrounded by ecological resources such as "Shatian Lihai Wetland" and "Xitailong River Wetland Park", which organically integrates the port economy with the ecology of the water town, making it a modern town that is pleasant to live and work.
