Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Luohu is one of the core administrative districts of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China, located in the eastern part of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone and bordering the northern part of Hong Kong's New Territories, making it an important gateway connecting Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The area has a long history, and since the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone in the 1980s, Luohu has rapidly developed into a financial, commercial and transportation hub as a frontier of reform and opening up. With the Luohu Port and Man Kam To Port within the district, the area is busy with daily cross-border passenger and logistics flows, facilitating the economic integration of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao into the Greater Bay Area.
The urban area of Luohu is known for its bustling commercial districts, such as Dongmen Old Street and shopping centers such as Vientiane City, which blend traditional and modern elements. In addition, the district is rich in cultural heritage, with natural attractions such as the Xianhu Botanical Garden and Wutong Mountain, as well as cultural facilities such as the Shenzhen Art Museum. As an early development area in Shenzhen, Luohu has a well-developed infrastructure, a dense subway network, and a high degree of convenience, attracting many businesses and residents. Overall, Luohu is an indispensable economic and cultural center of Shenzhen and continues to drive regional development.
