Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Located in the northeastern part of Shandong Province, China, on the south coast of Bohai Bay, Longkou is a coastal open city under the administration of Yantai City. It has a total area of 901 square kilometers and a population of about 630,000 people. Lungkou has a well-developed economy and is one of the top 100 counties in China, with gold mining, high-end aluminum, marine equipment manufacturing and food processing as the leading industries.
Surrounded by the sea on three sides and with a coastline of 68.4 kilometers, Longkou has a natural harbor, Longkou Harbor. It has a pleasant climate and is rich in apples, grapes and seafood. Longkou is an important source of gold in China, and also has rich coal and quartz sand resources.
Longkou has a long history and is the hometown of Xu Fu, a square scholar of the Qin Dynasty. The main attractions include Nanshan Scenic Spot, National 5A Tourist Attractions, Xu Fu's Hometown Cultural Park, Donghai Tourist Resort and Qom Island. Lungkou Vermicelli is famous in China and abroad, and is listed as a national geographical indication product.
As an important node city of the Bohai Economic Circle, Longkou has formed an industrial system focusing on energy, machinery, textile and food. Lungkou Port is an important cargo port in northern China, with an annual throughput of more than 80 million tons.In 2021, the GDP of Lungkou will exceed 120 billion yuan, ranking among the top county-level cities in Shandong Province.
