Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Linghai City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province of China, administered by Jinzhou City. It is located in the southwestern part of Liaoning Province, at the eastern end of the western Liaozhi Corridor, bordering the Bohai Sea to the east, with a total area of about 2,547 square kilometers. The city has a population of about 600,000, mainly Han Chinese, and Manchu, Hui and other ethnic minorities live in the city. The city has a long history, with human activities as early as the Neolithic era, and is one of the important cultural and economic centers in western Liaoning.
Located in the Bohai Economic Circle, Linghai City has a flat terrain and a temperate monsoon climate with four distinct seasons and an average annual temperature of about 9°C. The coastal area is rich in marine resources and produces seafood such as shrimp and shellfish, and the agriculture is dominated by maize and rice cultivation. With the Daling River and Xiaoling River flowing through its territory, the area is rich in water resources and has a beautiful natural landscape suitable for eco-tourism and leisure vacation.
Linghai's economy is based on agriculture, fishery and industry. In recent years, it has been vigorously developing the marine economy and tourism, with infrastructure such as the Linghai Harbor. The city has a rich cultural heritage, with famous attractions including the Daling River National Wetland Park, the ruins of the ancient city of Linghai, and traditional northeastern folk activities. The city has convenient transportation, with the Beijing-Harbin Railway and highway network connecting neighboring cities and promoting regional development.
