Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Located on the southeast coast of Fujian Province in China, Hui'an County is part of Quanzhou City and is situated between Meizhou Bay and Quanzhou Bay. As a famous hometown of overseas Chinese and an important ancestral home of Taiwan compatriots, Hui'an is famous for its unique Minnan culture, stone carving skills and Hui'an women folklore.
Hui'an has a history of more than 1,300 years of county founding, and there are national key cultural relics protection units such as the Song Dynasty Luoyang Bridge and Chongwu Ancient City in its territory. Huian stone carvings are listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list, and their fine craftsmanship is widely used in landmark buildings at home and abroad. The distinctive dress culture of "Hui'an women" (yellow hats, flower headscarves and blue shirts) has become a living symbol of the culture of southern Fujian.
As a strong economic county in Fujian, Hui'an has formed three leading industries: stone carving, food processing and equipment manufacturing. It also has high-quality beach resources such as Chongwu Coast and Qingshan Bay, among which Chongwu Ancient City Scenic Area integrates sea-eroded landforms, Ming Dynasty anti-Japanese ruins and Hui'an women's style, and is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and popular seaside vacation destination.
