Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Huangshan Mountain, located in the southern part of Anhui Province, China, is a world cultural and natural double heritage, famous for its "five best" (strange pines, strange rocks, sea of clouds, hot springs, winter snow). The main peak, Lotus Peak, is 1864 meters above sea level, combining the beauty of China's landscape in one, and the Ming Dynasty geographer Xu Xiake exclaimed: "Returning to the Five Mountains is not to see the mountains, but returning to Mount Huangshan is not to see the mountains". In the scenic area, the Welcome Pine, as a landmark landscape, stands on the cliff for thousands of years, symbolizing hospitality; the steepness of the Grand Canyon of the West Sea, the sunrise at the Bright Top, and the strange rocks at the Beginning of Faith Peak, all show nature's ingenious workmanship. The surrounding ancient villages such as Huizhou Ancient City, Hongcun and Xidi carry the essence of Huizhou culture, and the white walls and tiles against the green mountains and waters form a poetic picture scroll of "China's Painted Countryside". Huangshan is a scenic spot in all seasons, with azaleas roaming the mountains in spring, forests in autumn, and silver in winter, making it an excellent place for tourists from home and abroad to explore and appreciate the beauty of nature.
