Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Huangdao is located in the southwestern part of Qingdao City, Shandong Province, China, and is the core area of Qingdao West Coast New Area, a state-level new area, bordering the Yellow Sea, with a total area of about 2,096 square kilometers. As the economic and industrial center of gravity of Qingdao, Huangdao has the largest port in Shandong Province - Qingdao Port, which is an important international trade hub and modern manufacturing base in China. Industries in the region are dominated by the marine economy, petrochemicals, smart home appliances and high-end equipment manufacturing, while the tourism service industry is actively developed.
Huangdao has a beautiful natural environment, with high-quality seashore landscapes such as Golden Beach and Silver Beach, as well as eco-tourism resources such as Xiaozhushan, which attracts a large number of tourists every year. The area is conveniently connected to the main city of Qingdao through the Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel and the Cross-Sea Bridge, and has a high-speed railway station and an international airport with a well-developed infrastructure. With a blend of modern urban development and natural ecological features, Huangdao is an economically vibrant area with significant influence in China's coastal regions.
