Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Hengxian County is located in the south of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, under the jurisdiction of Nanning Municipality, and is famous as the "Hometown of Jasmine". The county has a total area of 3,464 square kilometers and a population of about 1.27 million, with the Zhuang minority ethnic group accounting for 40% of the total population.
Hengxian County is the world's largest jasmine production base, with annual jasmine production accounting for more than 60% of the world's total output. It also produces sugar cane, silkworms, mushrooms and other agricultural products, and is an important agricultural base in Guangxi. Industry is dominated by sugar, building materials and flower tea processing.
Hengxian boasts natural and humanistic landscapes such as Jiulong Waterfalls National Forest Park and Baohuashan Yingtian Temple. The Jasmine Cultural Festival held every year attracts many tourists, and the jasmine tea production technology is listed in the national intangible cultural heritage.
Hengxian County is located in the core area of the Pearl River-West River Economic Belt, 100 kilometers away from Nanning City, Xianggui Railway and Quannan Highway pass through the area, and the golden waterway of the Yujiang River is navigable for ships of 1,000-ton class, forming a transportation system of water and land transportation.
