Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Located in the northwestern part of Anhui Province, China, Fuyang is situated at the southern end of the Yellow-Huaihai Plain and is a member city of the Yangtze River Delta City Group. As the gateway to the southeastern part of the Central Plains Economic Zone, Fuyang has been an important trade hub since ancient times due to the water transportation advantage of the Ying River, a tributary of the Huai River, which runs through its entire territory.
With a history of more than 3,000 years, Fuyang is the hometown of Guan Zhong, Jikang and other famous historical figures. With a current resident population of about 8.2 million, Fuyang is the most populous city in Anhui Province. Fuyang dialect is the main dialect of the official language of the Central Plains, and the folk culture is a blend of the characteristics of the Central Plains culture and the Huaihe River culture.
As a national logistics hub carrying city, Fuyang has formed pillar industries such as agricultural and sideline product processing and equipment manufacturing. The Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Shanghe-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway intersect here, and Fuyang West Railway Station is an important railroad hub in East China, while the 4C airport connects to major cities in China.
Bali River Scenic Area is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, and Yingshang Digou Ecological Park shows the wetland style of the Huaibei Plain. Fuyang continues to promote the construction of the Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt, and builds a livable and modern city through the development of Xihu New District.
