Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Located in Weifang City, Shandong Province, China, Fangzi District is one of the major municipal districts of Weifang, with a total area of about 350 square kilometers and a population of about 300,000 people. The district has a long history, originating in the Qing Dynasty and emerging from the development of coal resources and the construction of railroads. the German and Japanese colonial periods of the late 19th and early 20th centuries left behind a rich industrial heritage and architectural styles, such as a German-style railway station and a cluster of Japanese-style residences, which have been classified as cultural relics.
Famous for its industry and once an important coal production base in Shandong, Fangzi District is now transformed into a modern manufacturing and agricultural demonstration area, producing vegetables and fruits. Conveniently located near Weifang Airport and the high-speed rail network, it is connected to major cities in Shandong Province. Culturally, with a blend of traditional Qilu culture and modern colonial influences, Fangzi boasts unique folk festivals and cuisines, such as the Weifang kite and local snacks, which entice tourists to explore its historical features and natural landscapes.
