Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.

As a volcanic island, Dominica is known as the "Nature Island of the Caribbean" for its dense rainforests, volcanic landscapes and natural hot springs.
Dominica has a natural environment that has not been over-exploited and the Three Peaks National Park is a World Heritage Site. Visitors can experience the wonders of Trafalgar Falls and Boiling Lake, or participate in eco-tourism such as hiking and whale watching. The economy is based on agriculture, with bananas and coconuts as important exports, and low-carbon tourism and civic investment programs are being developed.
The population of approximately 72,000 is predominantly Afro-descendant, with English as the official language and Creole widely spoken. The culture is a mix of African, European and Caribbean elements, with Independence Day (November 3) and Carnival showcasing traditional music, dance and costumes. The country is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, is politically stable and is known for its environmental policies, with the goal of becoming the world's first climate-resilient country.
