Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
Bijiang District is located in the northeastern part of Guizhou Province in China, belonging to Tongren City, which is the political, economic and cultural center of the city. Located in the hinterland of the Wuling Mountains, the Jinjiang River, a tributary of the Wujiang River, passes through the city, which is named after the "blue water and green mountains", with a beautiful natural environment and a mild and humid climate. The area is about 1,512 square kilometers, with a population of about 300,000, mainly Han Chinese, but also inhabited by Tujia, Miao, Dong and other ethnic minorities, with diversified cultures.
Bijiang District has a long history, and was known as "Tongrenfu" in ancient times. It is the gateway to Qiandong and a transportation hub, with the Hangrui Expressway and Tongren Phoenix Airport connecting it to the outside world. The economy is dominated by agriculture, tourism and light industry, with abundant production of oil tea and traditional Chinese medicine, and rich tourism resources such as Daming Border City and Nine Dragons Cave, which are national-level attractions. Focusing on ecological protection and sustainable development, the locality is actively promoting green industry and ethnic culture tourism to build a city brand with characteristics of the Wuling Mountain Region.
