Sarh is the capital of the Moyen-Chari Province of the Republic of Chad, located in the south of the country. It is the second largest city in Chad and an important economic and transportation center. Located near the Logone River, the city enjoys a relatively mild savannah climate with abundant annual rainfall. Saarland was once the administrative center of the French colonial period and still retains its colonial architecture. The city also has an airstrip connecting the capital, N'Djamena, with other major cities, and is a commercial and logistical hub for the southern region, with a population of about 150,000 people and a multicultural mix that offers a unique vision of southern Chad.
