Nova Santa Clara is located in the city of Faro in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, at the heart of the Vilamoura resort area. The area is known for its modern planning and high quality resort facilities, with one of Europe's top marinas, championship golf courses and golden sandy beaches.
Located on the Atlantic coast, New Santa Clara enjoys a Mediterranean climate with an average of over 300 days of sunshine per year. It is surrounded by the lagoon system of the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, creating a unique ecological landscape. The area is easily accessible, with Faro airport only 15 kilometers away and the A22 highway connecting to the main towns of the Algarve.
As a high-end tourist destination in Portugal, Nueva Santa Clara boasts luxury hotel complexes, casinos and Mediterranean-style villa areas. The economy is dominated by tourism, with yacht maintenance, golf tournaments and real estate forming the three main pillars. The annual Vilamoura Regatta and the Portuguese Open Golf Tournament attract a large number of international tourists.
The area is a mix of traditional fishing villages and modern resort facilities, with the Marina Shopping Center and the Museum of Roman Ruins showcasing the diversity of cultures. With a resident population of around 2,000, rising to tens of thousands in the summer months, the area has a cosmopolitan community atmosphere and a high level of English language proficiency, making it ideal for long term stays.
Arba Minch, the capital of the Southern Region of Ethiopia, is located in the southern part of the Rift Valley and is known as the "City of the South".
