Sanmin District is located in the northwestern part of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, and is the most populous district in Kaohsiung, covering an area of about 19.8 square kilometers. The district is named after the "Three Principles of the People" proposed by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and is an important transportation hub and cultural and educational center of Kaohsiung.
The area is home to important facilities such as the Kaohsiung Railway Station and Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital, as well as cultural landmarks such as the Love River Scenic Belt and the Science and Industry Museum. Sanmin District has both residential and commercial functions, and the MRT Red Line runs north and south, forming a complete living area.
