Sanmenxia is located in the western part of Henan Province, China, at the junction of Henan, Jin and Shaanxi provinces, and is an important city in the middle reaches of the Yellow River. Sanmenxia is named after the three gorges in the Yellow River, namely the "Man's Gate, the God's Gate and the Ghost's Gate", and is known as the "Pearl of the Yellow River".
The city has a long history and is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. The world-famous Yangshao Culture Site is located here, witnessing China's 5,000 years of civilization. In addition, Sanmenxia is also famous for historical sites such as the Spring and Autumn Period Guo Cemetery and the Baolun Temple Pagoda.
In terms of natural landscape, Sanmenxia has the Sanmenxia Dam Scenic Area on the Yellow River, where thousands of white swans come to overwinter every winter, forming the unique spectacle of "Swan Lake", which is known as the "City of Swans".
As an important node city on the Longhai Railway, Sanmenxia is not only strategically important, but in recent years, it has also developed into an important industrial city and tourist destination in the western part of Henan Province, with gold production, aluminum industry and other industries as its economic pillars.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
