San Pedro de Paraná is the capital of the Department of San Pedro, Paraguay, located near the confluence of the Paraguay and Paraná Rivers. Founded in 1863, the city is an important agricultural and trade center in northeastern Paraguay, with cotton, soybeans and livestock as the mainstays of its economy.
Located on the banks of the Paraguay River, San Pedro enjoys a subtropical climate that is warm and humid throughout the year. The surrounding area is rich in wetland ecosystems, making it a popular destination for birdwatching and ecotourism. The city is located approximately 330 kilometers from the capital Asunción, with access to major cities by water and land transportation.

Located in the northern part of Dongying City, Shandong Province, China, Hekou District is situated in the core area of the Yellow River Delta, where the Yellow River enters the sea. The area is formed by the siltation of the Yellow River and is rich in wetland ecological resources and petroleum and mineral resources.
As an important part of the Yellow River Delta National Nature Reserve, the estuary has a unique coastal wetland ecosystem, and is an important stopover for migratory birds along the East Asia-Australia migration route.
