Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. Historically, Samu was an important stronghold during Timor-Leste's War of Independence, and remnants of the resistance movement still remain in the area, attracting history buffs to explore. Zhaotong, located in the northeastern part of Yunnan Province, Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan provinces, is an important channel from Yunnan to the Central Plains, known as the "throat of Western Sichuan, the key to the South Yunnan". This place has a long history and is the core birthplace of "Juti Culture", Juti County was set up during the Qin and Han Dynasties, and the ancient stagecoach road Doushaguan still retains historical relics such as "Bo's Hanging Coffin" and "Yuan Zi's Inscription". Zhaotong has a diversified terrain. Zhaotong has a diverse topography, with the Wumeng Mountains running through it, the steepness of the Jinshajiang River canyon and the vastness of the plateau grassland, and natural landscapes such as the Tongluo Dam National Forest Park and the Grand Canyon Hot Spring in the west, which are both beautiful and warm. With abundant products, Zhaotong apples are sweet and crispy, tianma and wujin pigs are famous both inside and outside the province, while Yi, Miao and other ethnic minorities live in the area, and torch festivals, Huashan festivals and other folklore activities are rich in flavor, which makes the area a unique destination for experiencing the diversified cultures and natural charms of northeastern Yunnan Province.
