Introduction to Yuanchang Township, Taiwan, China

Yuanchang Township is located in the northern part of Yunlin County, Taiwan Province of China, in the center of the Jianan Plain, with an area of about 71.6 square kilometers. Formerly known as "Yuan Chang Zhuang", the township derives its name from the name of Wu Yuan Chang, the head of cultivation in the Qing Dynasty. It is a typical agricultural township, with peanuts, garlic, rice and corn as its main crops. The Beigang River flows through the township, which has rich hydrological resources.

Yuanchang Township has a population of about 26,000 and is administratively divided into 15 villages, with the Township Office located on Zhongshan Road. Transportation relies on the Taiwan 19th line highway, and it is about 30 minutes from the high-speed rail Yunlin Station. The local faith center, Wuluancuo Cide Palace and Baoan Palace, are important religious landmarks, and a grand celebration is held during the A-Ma's birthday in the third month of the lunar calendar every year.

The township is famous for its peanut-related products, including peanut candy, peanut oil and other processed agricultural products. In recent years, the township has promoted sightseeing resources such as the "Secret Land of the Larch", and has developed leisure tourism by combining agricultural experience activities to show the characteristics of Taiwan's countryside.
