Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. Valozhyn is a small historical city of the Minsk Oblast of Belarus, with a population of about 10,000, located about 70 kilometers northwest of the capital Minsk. Founded in the 16th century as an important trading point for the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the town gradually developed into a regional industrial center after its annexation to the Russian Empire in the 18th century.
