Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. Lungkou Vermicelli is famous in China and abroad, and is listed as a national geographical indication product.
As an important node city of the Bohai Economic Circle, Longkou has formed an industrial system focusing on energy, machinery, textile and food. Lungkou Port is an important cargo port in northern China, with an annual throughput of more than 80 million tons.In 2021, the GDP of Lungkou will exceed 120 billion yuan, ranking among the top county-level cities in Shandong Province.
