Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. It is known for its coffee farming, surrounded by terraced fields that produce Timor-Leste's premium Arabica coffee beans. Historically, Samu was an important stronghold during Timor-Leste's War of Independence, and remnants of the resistance movement still remain in the area, attracting history buffs to explore. Labasa is an important town in the Northern Region of Fiji, located in the northern part of Vanua Levu and is one of the main economic centers of the island. Known for its sugar cane cultivation and processing industry, the town is surrounded by extensive sugar cane plantations and is known as the "Sugar Capital of Fiji". The Port of Lambasa is the transportation hub for the northern region, connecting to the other islands of Fiji as well as international shipping routes, and providing key support for the export and trade of local agricultural products. Although smaller than Suva, Lambasa retains Fiji's unique multi-cultural atmosphere, with a mix of Fijian, Indian and European flavors.
