Horner is a small, remote community in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough in south-central Alaska, USA. Located in the northern foothills of the Alaska Range, it is about 160 kilometers north of Anchorage, and relies on highways or small airplanes for transportation, and is often isolated from the outside world during the winter due to heavy snowfall. The area is characterized by pristine natural beauty, surrounded by vast coniferous forests, glacial rivers and wildlife habitats for outdoor adventure enthusiasts who want to hike, fish and see the Aurora Borealis.
