Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. Historically, Samu was an important stronghold during Timor-Leste's War of Independence, and remnants of the resistance movement still remain in the area, attracting history buffs to explore. Blackshear is the county seat of Pierce County in the southeastern part of the U.S. state of Georgia, and is located in the coastal plain region of the state, about 120 kilometers from Jacksonville. Named after David Blackshear, a hero of the American Revolutionary War, the city was founded in the mid-19th century and now has a population of about 3,500.
Located on the banks of the Satilla River, Blackshear has a humid subtropical climate with warm, humid summers and mild winters. The surrounding area is dominated by forests and farmland, with natural features such as the Okefenokee Swamp, making it ideal for outdoor recreational activities.
