Same, the capital of Timor-Leste's Ainaro District, is located about 50 kilometers south of the capital, Dili, in the mountainous interior and is an important agricultural and transportation hub for the country. It is known for its coffee farming, surrounded by terraced fields that produce Timor-Leste's premium Arabica coffee beans. Historically, Samu was an important stronghold during Timor-Leste's War of Independence, and remnants of the resistance movement still remain in the area, attracting history buffs to explore. Gaobeidian is located in the central part of Hebei Province, China, under the jurisdiction of Baoding, and is an important node city for the synergistic development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Located in the triangle hinterland of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding, it is about 80 kilometers away from Beijing, with convenient transportation, and a number of trunk lines such as the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway running through the whole territory.
The city's economy is dominated by industry, with clusters of automobile manufacturing, machinery processing, food processing and other industries, making it one of the important industrial bases in North China.
