Dingxiang County is located in the north-central part of Shanxi Province, Xinzhou City, located in the middle reaches of the Hutuo River in the Xin Ding Basin, relying on the Taihang Mountains in the east and the Yunzhong Mountains in the west, and has been a transportation hub and a major town of commerce in northern Jin since ancient times. This place has a long history, it was the fiefdom of Zhao Xiangzi during the Spring and Autumn Period, so it was named "Dingxiang", there are Dingxiang Ancient City Ruins, Hongfu Temple and other national cultural heritage units in the territory, and the Xihetou Tunnel Battle Ruins bear witness to the history of China's revolution.
