Located in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, Daxi is a famous historical and cultural town in the northern part of Taiwan, known as "Taiwan's Little Kyoto". It is famous for its old street culture, traditional crafts and humanistic landscapes. The old streets of Daxi (such as Heping Road and Zhongshan Road) have preserved the street house buildings from the Japanese colonial period and the early Republican period, with red-brick arcades intertwined with wooden window panes, making a stroll through them akin to traveling back in time.
