Samawah is the capital of Misan Province in southern Iraq, located along the Euphrates River, about 280 kilometers from the capital city of Baghdad. As an ancient city with a long history, it is a blend of Mesopotamian civilization and Islamic cultural heritage, and was once one of the important regions of the ancient Sumerian civilization. The city's economy is based on agriculture, producing crops such as dates and wheat, and in recent years the oil industry has also grown. Semawar has a mild Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Most of the local residents are Arabs, mainly Shiite Muslims, and the city retains traditional bazaars and religious buildings, showing the unique folk customs and social landscape of southern Iraq.
Barceloneta is a city on the northern coast of Puerto Rico, known as the "Cradle of Puerto Rico", located between the Central Mountain Range and the Caribbean Sea, about an hour's drive from the capital city of San Juan.
