Salalah - The Monsoon City of Southern Oman
Salalah, the second largest city in the Sultanate of Oman, is located in the Dhofar Governorate in the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula, bordering the Arabian Sea, and is known as the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean". As the capital of Dhofar, Salalah is known for its unique monsoon climate, which is green and cool during the monsoon period from June to September every year, in contrast to the hot and dry conditions in other parts of Oman, and is therefore also known as the "Monsoon City".
