Located in the eastern part of the New Territories in Hong Kong, China, Sai Kung is one of Hong Kong's most popular outdoor recreational and culinary destinations. Known as "Hong Kong's Backyard", it is home to more than 200 islands and crystal-clear bays, such as Half Moon Bay and Langkawi Bay, and is renowned for its high-quality sandy beaches and unique geological landscapes, as well as being the centerpiece of Hong Kong's UNESCO World Geopark, which attracts countless tourists to its natural wonders, such as volcanic rock columns and sea caves. The seafood street in the center of Sai Kung is a collection of fresh seafood, with mouth-watering local delicacies such as salt and pepper prawns and fried crabs in the typhoon shelter, while snacks such as fish ball and egg dumplings in the street market are full of authentic Hong Kong flavors. In addition, hiking routes such as the second section of the MacLehose Trail and Pak Tam Chung allow visitors to immerse themselves between the mountains and the sea and experience the charm of nature. Conveniently located about one hour by bus from MTR Diamond Hill Station, it is an ideal destination to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts. The city is culturally diverse, with Hausa, Tuareg and Kanuri ethnic groups living in the area, and is unique in its crafts such as traditional leather weaving and silversmithing. Despite infrastructural challenges, Diffa remains an important economic and cultural node in the south-east of the Niger, thanks to its strategic location and rich cultural heritage.
