Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy. With a total area of about 770 square kilometers and a population of about 100,000, the district is situated in the belt of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with a mountainous terrain and a mild climate suitable for the cultivation of cereals and fruits.
Bordering on the Iranian border and about 250 kilometers away from the capital Baku, Satre District is rich in forests and water resources. There are several nature reserves in the district with rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, producing wheat, grapes and nuts. Traditional Azerbaijani culture is preserved in the region, with handicrafts and folk festivals attracting tourists. Xinrong District is part of Datong City, Shanxi Province, China, and is located in the northernmost part of Shanxi Province at the junction of Jin, Hebei and Mongolia provinces and districts, covering a total area of about 1,068 square kilometers. The district has a long history and is a zone where the culture of the Central Plains meets the nomadic culture of the north. The ruins of the Ming Great Wall and the cultural relics of the Northern Wei Dynasty exist in the district, such as the famous Desheng Fortress Complex, which testifies to the importance of the ancient border fortresses for military purposes and trade.
Xinrong District terrain is mainly hilly and mountainous, belonging to the temperate continental climate, agriculture is characterized by mixed grain cultivation and animal husbandry. In recent years, tourism has been developed based on ecological resources, such as the Red Rock Cliff Scenic Area and other natural landscapes. The economy is based on energy and agriculture, and is gradually promoting the cultural tourism industry. The transportation is convenient, connecting Datong city and neighboring provinces, making it an important node for regional development.
