Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy. With a total area of about 770 square kilometers and a population of about 100,000, the district is situated in the belt of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with a mountainous terrain and a mild climate suitable for the cultivation of cereals and fruits.
Bordering on the Iranian border and about 250 kilometers away from the capital Baku, Satre District is rich in forests and water resources. There are several nature reserves in the district with rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, producing wheat, grapes and nuts. Traditional Azerbaijani culture is preserved in the region, with handicrafts and folk festivals attracting tourists. The Satre district is easily accessible by road, connecting major cities and serving as an important gateway for exploring the south of Azerbaijan.
Xiangyin County is part of Yueyang City, Hunan Province, China, located on the south shore of Dongting Lake and the east side of the lower reaches of the Xiangjiang River, and is an important node county around the Changzhutan urban agglomeration. With a total area of 1,581.5 square kilometers and a population of about 700,000, it is predominantly Han Chinese. The local climate is subtropical monsoon with four distinct seasons and rich agricultural and aquatic resources.
Xiangyin has a history of more than 1,500 years since the county was established in the Southern Dynasty, and is one of the birthplaces of Hunan culture. The former residence of Zuo Zongtang, the ruins of Yuezhou kiln and Nanquan Temple are representative humanistic landscapes. Specialties include crabs from Helong Lake, rakkyo (rakkyo rakkyo) from Santang, and rice noodles from Xiangyin, and the traditional dragon boat culture is especially prevalent.
Xiangyin, with equipment manufacturing, green food, culture and tourism industries as its economic pillars, is adjacent to Furong North Road in Changsha, about 40 minutes' drive from downtown Changsha, and is included in the planning of the new section of Xiangjiang New District. There is a deep-water wharf at Caoxi Port and a perfect water and land transportation network, and it is actively integrating into the development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
