Lesotho is a landlocked country in southern Africa, surrounded by South Africa, with Maseru as its capital. It should be clarified that "Lesotho" is not a city or region of Lesotho, and may be a misspelling of "Maseru", the capital of Lesotho, or other parts of the country.
Lesotho is mainly mountainous plateau, about 80% of the territory is more than 1800 meters above sea level, known as the "Kingdom of the Sky". It has a continental subtropical climate with cold and dry winters and warm and rainy summers. The Orange River and other important rivers originate here, rich in water resources.
The economy is based on agriculture, textile exports and remittances. The traditional Basotho culture remains intact, with unique straw crafts and folk music. Tourism is on the rise, with the Maloti Mountains hiking trails and the Sunnitumbu rock carvings being well known attractions.
For information on specific cities in Lesotho, it is advisable to refer to its capital city, Maseru, or major towns such as Leribe and Mafeteng. Accurate spelling of place names is essential for getting the right information.
