Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy. With a total area of about 770 square kilometers and a population of about 100,000, the district is situated in the belt of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with a mountainous terrain and a mild climate suitable for the cultivation of cereals and fruits.
Bordering on the Iranian border and about 250 kilometers away from the capital Baku, Satre District is rich in forests and water resources. There are several nature reserves in the district with rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, producing wheat, grapes and nuts. Traditional Azerbaijani culture is preserved in the region, with handicrafts and folk festivals attracting tourists. The Satre district is easily accessible by road, connecting major cities and serving as an important gateway for exploring the south of Azerbaijan.
Fuhai County is located in the northern part of China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, part of Altay Region, on the northern edge of the Junggar Basin and along the shores of Ulungu Lake. The area is known for its rich natural landscapes and diverse cultures, and is an important agricultural and pastoral area and tourist destination in Xinjiang.
Fuhai County has unique ecological resources, including the Ulungu Lake (Fuhai Lake) Wetland Reserve, which is suitable for bird-watching, fishing and eco-tourism. The local economy is dominated by agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery, producing cold-water fish, cattle and sheep and specialty agricultural products. The climate is temperate continental, with four distinct seasons, cool summers and cold winters.
Fuhai is a multi-ethnic settlement, where Kazakhs, Han Chinese and other ethnic groups live in harmony, and traditional culture and festivals are rich and colorful. Conveniently connected to Altay and Urumqi by highway, it is an important node of the Northern Xinjiang Tourism Loop.
