Located in the southern part of Azerbaijan, Satre District is an important administrative division of the country, known for its natural beauty and agricultural economy. With a total area of about 770 square kilometers and a population of about 100,000, the district is situated in the belt of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, with a mountainous terrain and a mild climate suitable for the cultivation of cereals and fruits.
Bordering on the Iranian border and about 250 kilometers away from the capital Baku, Satre District is rich in forests and water resources. There are several nature reserves in the district with rich biodiversity, making it an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism.
The economy is predominantly agricultural, producing wheat, grapes and nuts. Traditional Azerbaijani culture is preserved in the region, with handicrafts and folk festivals attracting tourists. The Satre district is easily accessible by road, connecting major cities and serving as an important gateway for exploring the south of Azerbaijan.
Beigang, located in the northwest of Chiayi County, Taiwan Province of China, with the Taiwan Strait to its west, is an important historical and cultural town and religious shrine in Taiwan. Named after the Beigang River, Beigang was once one of the four major commercial ports in Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty, and is now known as the birthplace of A-Ma culture. The Chaotian Palace in the town was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and enshrines the statue of A-Ma. Every year during the Lunar New Year and A-Ma's birthday, it attracts millions of pilgrims, making it one of the most influential A-Ma temples in Taiwan. Beigang not only has a strong religious atmosphere, but is also known for its traditional snacks, such as beef tongue cake, noodle thread paste, sweet kuey teow and other local delicacies, which allow visitors to savor Taiwan's ancient taste in a culturally inspired way. Conveniently accessible by high-speed rail to Chiayi Station and then transferring to passenger transportation, Beigang is a must-visit place to experience Taiwan's folklore.
