Located in the northern part of Guangdong Province, China, Liyuan Yao Autonomous County is part of Shaoguan City, and is one of the three minority autonomous counties in Guangdong Province. Located at the southern foot of the Nanling Mountain Range, it covers a total area of 2,299 square kilometers, with mountainous and hilly terrain, and more than 80% of the area is covered by forests, which makes it blessed with unique ecological resources.
Liyuan is inhabited by the Yao people, preserving the complete Yao culture and traditional customs, and organizing ethnic festivals such as the "October Dynasty" every year. There are famous scenic spots such as Guangdong Grand Canyon, Nanshui Lake National Wetland Park and Yunmen Mountain Buddhist Culture and Ecological Tourism Area, among which Guangdong Grand Canyon is known as "the most beautiful canyon in South China", which is a paradise for hiking and photography enthusiasts.
Luyuan has ecological agriculture and tourism as its pillar industries, producing tea, bamboo shoots and other agricultural products. Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, Leguang Expressway runs through the whole territory, about 40 minutes drive from Shaoguan high-speed rail station, the transportation is convenient. In recent years, the development of green economy, was awarded the title of "National Ecological Civilization Construction Demonstration County".
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. The local economy is based on fishing, tourism and agriculture, and the climate is cool enough for summer vacations.
With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
