Located in the eastern part of Burgenland, close to the Hungarian border, Rust, Austria, is a small town famous for its wine and unique wetland landscape. As one of the most important wine regions in Burgenland, Rust is internationally renowned for its high quality Riesling and Viessner white wines, and its vineyards cover the surrounding hills in a charmingly idyllic setting. The city's well-preserved medieval old town with its colorful houses, cobblestone streets and old wine cellars is steeped in history. Rust is also part of the Lake Neuchiedler-Hanschatz National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage wetland that provides a habitat for birds and attracts nature lovers. Located in the southern part of Miaoli County, Taiwan Province of China, Sanyi is a famous town for wood carving art and is known as the "Hometown of Wood Carving". This Hakka settlement is about 400 meters above sea level and has a pleasant climate. There are historical relics from the Japanese colonial period such as Shengxing Station and Longteng Broken Bridge. The Sanyi Woodcarving Museum is the only thematic museum in Asia that focuses on woodcarving, and the International Woodcarving Festival is held annually. Local specialties include Hakka cognac sticks, wood carving crafts and sour citrus tea, and the Taiwan Railway Old Mountain Line Railway Bike is an emerging popular attraction. Sanyi Township combines traditional culture, natural landscapes and artistic creations to become an important cultural tourism destination in Miaoli County.
