Rudong County is located in the southeastern part of Jiangsu Province, China, under Nantong City, bordering the Yellow Sea to the east and the Yangtze River to the south, making it an important coastal county in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone. It has a total area of about 1,739 square kilometers and a population of about 880,000 people. Rudong is characterized by its marine economy, with rich mudflat resources and port advantages, and Yangkou Port is a State Class I open port, which boosts regional logistics and industrial development. Local agriculture is dominated by rice and aquaculture, while industry focuses on new energy, equipment manufacturing and biomedicine. Rudong is also known as the "hometown of seafood", producing clams and seaweed. The ecological environment is excellent, with natural landscapes such as the coastal wetlands of Rudong, suitable for eco-tourism. Conveniently located, the city is connected to cities such as Shanghai and Suzhou by road and rail networks.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
