Rudong County is located in the southeastern part of Jiangsu Province, China, under Nantong City, bordering the Yellow Sea to the east and the Yangtze River to the south, making it an important coastal county in the Yangtze River Delta Economic Zone. It has a total area of about 1,739 square kilometers and a population of about 880,000 people. Rudong is characterized by its marine economy, with rich mudflat resources and port advantages, and Yangkou Port is a State Class I open port, which boosts regional logistics and industrial development. Local agriculture is dominated by rice and aquaculture, while industry focuses on new energy, equipment manufacturing and biomedicine. Rudong is also known as the "hometown of seafood", producing clams and seaweed. The ecological environment is excellent, with natural landscapes such as the coastal wetlands of Rudong, suitable for eco-tourism. Guazhou County is located in the western part of Jiuquan City, Gansu Province, China, at the western end of the Hexi Corridor, an important node of the ancient Silk Road. The county is famous for the historic Guazhou Ancient City and its rich cultural heritage, such as the ruins of the Lockyang City and the Yulin Caves, which show traces of cultural exchanges between the ancient Central Plains and the Western Regions. The climate is temperate and continental, with little rain, and agriculture is dominated by the cultivation of honeydew melons and wolfberries, of which "Guazhou Honeydew Melon" is a national geographic indication product. The economy is based on agriculture, tourism and new energy industry, and there is a large wind power base nearby. The transportation is convenient, with the Lianhuo Expressway and Lanzhou-Xinjiang Railway running through the whole area, making it suitable for history and nature lovers to explore.
