Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Changhua City is located in the central and western part of Taiwan Province of China and is the administrative center and economic core of Changhua County. Located in the center of the Changhua Plain, it covers an area of about 65.7 square kilometers and has a population of about 230,000 people. As an ancient city with a long history in Taiwan, Changhua City was founded in the Yongzheng Dynasty of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of more than 300 years. It is known as the "Half-line City", and there are cultural assets such as the National Monument Confucius Temple and the Fan Shaped Garage.
Changhua City is famous for its traditional snacks. Local delicacies such as meatballs, cat and mouse noodles, and slow-braised pork rice are unique. The annual Lugang Celebration of Duanyang series attracts tourists from all over Taiwan. As an agricultural town, the surrounding area is rich in rice and fruits, and is known as the "Rice Warehouse of Taiwan". The city has convenient transportation, with the Taiwan Railway Longitudinal Line and a number of highways running through the entire area, and is about 30 minutes' drive from downtown Taichung.
Changhua's traditional industries are mainly manufacturing, including hardware, textiles, food processing, etc. In recent years, Changhua has been actively promoting the development of the tourism industry. Important landmarks include the Baguashan Buddha Scenic Area, the Yongle Street shopping district, and the Changhua Museum of Art, which blend history and culture with modern urban style, showcasing the unique regional characteristics of central Taiwan.
