Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Xinshao County, belonging to Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the hinterland of central Hunan, upstream of the Zijiang River, in the transition zone between the Xuefeng Mountain Range and the Nanling Mountain Range, bordering Shaodong City in the east, Longhui County in the west, Xinhua County in the north, and Beita and Daxiang Districts in the south, making it the northern gate of Shaoyang City. The topography of the county is diverse, with hills, plains and mountains interspersed, and the Zijiang River passes through the county, giving rise to rich natural resources and farming culture. The transportation here is convenient, with the Hukun Expressway and Erguang Expressway running through the whole territory, integrating into the 3-hour economic circle of ChangZhuTan. Xinshao deep human heritage, white water hole scenic set of strange peaks, valleys, caves and ravines in one, known as the "southern small Guilin" reputation, is a provincial scenic spot; Ping on the town of Nuo culture, dragon lantern dance and other non-heritage folk heritage for thousands of years. In recent years, Xinshao relies on the ecological advantages of the development of special agriculture and cultural and tourism industries, and has become a pleasant place to live and travel in the central Hunan region with both natural scenery and humanistic charm.
