Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Xingwen County belongs to Yibin City of Sichuan Province, located in the combination of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou, with a total area of 1,373 square kilometers and a population of about 480,000 people. It is famous for its World Geopark and the cultural relics of the Bo people, and is one of the most typical areas of karst landscape in China.
Xingwen World Geopark has the largest stone sea landscape in Asia, Xingwen Stone Sea, with stone peaks on the surface, underground caves, Tianquan Cave, Big Funnel and other landscapes that are called geological wonders. The scenic area integrates karst landforms, underground river systems and ancient fossils, and was included in the World Geopark Network by UNESCO in 2005.
Xingwen is the last settlement of the ancient Bo people, and the Hanging Coffin of Bo people is still an unsolved mystery. The local Miao culture is rich, and the Miao Huashan Festival is held annually. The red culture is profound, was once the Red Army Long March through the place. Specialties Xingwen square bamboo shoots, black bone chicken is famous throughout the country.
Relying on natural resources to develop eco-tourism, it has built 4A scenic spots such as Shihai Cave Township and Bo Wang Mountain. Agriculture is dominated by square bamboo, roasted tobacco, grain and oil, and the emerging shale gas industry is becoming a new economic growth point. The establishment of Chenggui High Speed Railway makes transportation more convenient, and it has become an important destination for tourism in South Sichuan.
