Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Aruba Westport is a beach resort in the Caribbean island nation of Aruba, located on the west coast of the island. Known for its pristine white sandy beaches, clear blue-green waters and tropical climate with year-round sunshine, it is a popular vacation destination for European and American tourists.
With its gently sloping shallow waters and calm seas, Ouestpont is ideal for water sports such as swimming, snorkeling and sailing. The surrounding coral reefs are ecologically rich and visitors can view colorful tropical fish and sea turtles. The sunset view is particularly famous and is known as one of the most beautiful sunset viewing spots in the Caribbean.
The area is home to a number of high-end resorts, hotels and restaurants offering a complete range of leisure services. The local architecture is a blend of Dutch colonial and Caribbean elements, and there are shopping centers and casinos within walking distance. Oranjestad, the capital city, is about a 15-minute drive from Vesterpunt, with direct flights from the international airport. Dutch and Papiamento are spoken locally, with English and Spanish widely spoken. Tropical celebrations are held here every year during Carnival and Music Festival.
