Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Tianlin County is located in the northwestern part of China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, belonging to Baise City, at the junction of Yunnan-Guizhou-Guizhou provinces. With a total area of 5,577 square kilometers, it is the largest county in Guangxi. It has a subtropical monsoon climate, with a forest coverage rate of more than 80%, and is known as "the first forestry county in Guangxi".
TIANLIN is a multi-ethnic settlement, with more than 90% of ethnic minorities such as Zhuang and Yao, preserving national intangible cultural heritages such as the North Road Zhuang Opera and Yao Bronze Drum Dance. The county was established in the Ming Dynasty and has a long history. The Red Army's Long March once passed through the area and has a revolutionary cultural heritage.
With forestry, specialty agriculture and ecological tourism as the leading industries, the county is rich in Bado bamboo shoots, oil tea, Ganoderma lucidum and other specialties, and is the "Hometown of Bado Bamboo Shoots in China". There are ecological scenic spots such as Cenwanglaoshan National Nature Reserve and Wanji Mountain Forest Park.
G78 Shankun Expressway and Nankun Railway run through the whole territory, and Baise Airport is about 1 hour away by car. In recent years, it focuses on the development of green economy, and was once awarded the title of "National Greening Model County", which is an important ecological barrier area in the Pearl River Basin.
